6 Creation Days + 1 Sabbath Day = Star of David

Sometimes a symbol, and the meaning of that symbol, are the exact same thing. So too the Star of David and its unique visual picture of the 7 Days of Creation match each other with Mathematical precision. I’ll let the Rabbi explain:

“Still by exploring some various explanations on the meaning behind the Star of David, we can appreciate deep Jewish concepts. One idea is that a six-pointed star receives form and substance from its solid center. This inner core represents the spiritual dimension, surrounded by the six universal directions. (A similar idea applies to Shabbat the seventh day which gives balance and perspective to the six weekdays.)”

The Hexagram

The Star of David is sometimes known as the Creator’s Star, in which each of the six points represents a day of the week and the center corresponds to the Sabbath.
